Operation Christmas Child

First Baptist Church of Jamestown is one of the leading collection spots in the Fentress County area. We work all year on items to place in the shoe boxes that are sent around the world at Chirstmas time every year. Every Tuesday we have a work day starting at 10:00 am to wrap shoe boxes, seperate donated items, and create items for the boxes.  We are always collecting the following items: old calendars, old washed mediciene bottles, pillow cases for dresses, and sheets for bags and dresses, snack and sandwich bags. Each month we have specific items we would like to collect. Each November, neighboring churches, local business, and volunteers come together to pack over 5,000 boxes to send across the world. If you would like to make a donation or create a box individually, you are welcome to drop it off at First Baptist Church during Operation Chirstmas Child Collection Week.

During Sunday Morning Service on August 12, 2018 we will have a special speaker to provide testimonies and more information about the Operation Chirstmas Child Mission. Everyone is welcome to attend starting at 11:00 am.

During July, we are collecting:
Gender neutral toys such as yo-yo's, jacks, jumpropes, dolls, balls, etc.
The Operation Christmas Child Kick-Off Dinner is scheduled for September 4, 2018 at First Baptist Church.
